New
Connections to the West Bay Sanitary District
New connectors
to the Districts Main Line Sewer System are required to obtain
a permit from the District Offices. All construction must be in conformance
with the Districts Standard Specifications, which may be downloaded
from this website (See Downloadable Documents.) The current Connection
Fee for a single family residence is $5,299.00; rates for Non-Residential
customers are based on the type of discharge and may be obtained by
contacting the District at (650) 321-0384. All permit and connection
fees must be paid at the time a permit is issued by the District. All
rates and fees are subject to change.
In addition
to providing gravity sewer service, the District operates an On-Site
Wastewater Disposal Zone. The Zone enables the use of Innovative
and Alternative technologies to provide wastewater collection
and treatment when gravity sewers are not available. The District is
responsible for maintaining the pumping equipment that is used within
the Zone. An additional charge is levied annually for this service.
If the
property that is to be served is not within the Districts boundaries,
it will be necessary to make an application to annex the property to
the San Mateo (or Santa Clara) Local Agency Formation Commission. Those
properties utilizing Alternative and Innovative technologies
(Usually Septic Tank Effluent Pumping Systems or Grinder Pressure Sewer
Systems) also require annexation to the On-Site Wastewater Disposal
Zone. For further information contact the District Offices at (650)
