Flow Equalization and Resource Recovery Facility Levee Improvements Project No. 1762.0
This project includes the flood protection of the District’s Flow Equalization and Resource Recovery Facility (FERRF) against the FEMA floodplain and Sea Level Rise (SLR). The improvements include both sheet pile and nature-based adaptation measures (living shoreline) to combat rising sea levels. The bid opening for this project was on August 17, 2023 and the District received a total of three (3) bids and the project was awarded to the Anderson Pacific Engineering Construction, Inc. of Santa Clara on August 23, 2023 in the amount of $15,095,950.00. The construction started in October 2023 and is anticipated to be completed by January 31, 2025, in conformance with permits and grant obtained for the project.
