The District will attempt to clear the private sewer lateral from a conforming cleanout (typically located at the property line or back of sidewalk) to the main line sewer upon a request to do so. If a property does not have a conforming cleanout at the property line, a cleanout may be installed pursuant to the District’s Code of General Regulations. If your parcel does not have a conforming cleanout it is recommended that you install one (a District permit is required).
