If the District or a licensed plumbing contractor determines that your pipe is damaged and needs repair or replacement, video inspection of the private sewer lateral is one of the best tools used to determine the integrity of the line. Licensed sewer contractors use Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras to record and view the line.

For an additional $95 fee the District will review CCTV DVD recordings and provide an independent evaluation which will include an assessment of the pipe condition and determine whether the line is sufficiently cleaned or if repairs or replacement is needed.
